Music Education In a Time of Separation

Hello My Dear Students!

WELCOME to a new project. For some time I have wanted to create a learning space on my website for all my students, and myself, to share sounds, thoughts, questions, answers, images, anything. Anything at all to help you all move your music forward. Now in the spring of 2020 as we all "shelter in place" I guess I finally have no reason to delay creating this, and every reason to go ahead and do it.

So first off: WHO ARE YOU?!

I have about forty students at any given time, in two main groups

1. Composers at Cleveland School of the Arts. High School Orchestra, Band, Choir majors who study songwriting and composition in addition to their instruments (violin, viola, cello, bass, voice, winds, percussion, guitar, keyboards).

2. Students of Guitar, Ukulele, Electric Bass in my private lesson studio. All ages.

Songdog Music is the name I've given my business, overall. So though some of you may just know me by my name, all my teaching falls under this business name.

Second off: WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?!

I want my students to have an Online Study Space where I can share docs, links, sounds, and cool stuff that help you in your study. Where you can ask questions, post your music, share cool stuff, experiences. Where we can all chatter back and forth together, 24/7, and freely discuss this simple art form, this complex set of physical and mental tasks, this magical science, that we call MUSIC.
